Ellen Koenig

Ellen has worked in the New Hampshire nonprofit sector for all of her professional life. Starting her work career as a sign language interpreter, she then went on to become co-Executive Director at Granite State Independent Living. From there, she spent 10 years as a grantmaker and project manager at NH Charitable Foundation, where she developed a deep appreciation for the unique role that nonprofits and donors play in the state. From there, she helped to develop programs for the NH Center for Nonprofits.

Currently, Ellen is the part-time  Director of Grantmaking for the NH Women’s Foundation, and also consults with a wide variety of nonprofits. She has served on a variety of nonprofit boards, including Leadership NH, Circle Program and the NH Women’s Initiative. Ellen lives in Concord with her husband and rescue dog, and has 3 grown children,
