In 2014, CASA of New Hampshire established a North Country Advisory board as part of a grant from the Neil and Louise Tillotson Foundation to expand and direct CASA’s outreach efforts in the North Country.
This group has become an important asset to the organization as its members provide valuable insight into life in Coos County. Its members also bring an incredible network of people for sharing our important mission and work. Although the populations are smaller in these communities, the geographical distance of Coos County is vast, which makes it difficult to understand the challenges each community faces in terms of child health and safety. Having individuals willing to represent the needs of their individual regions, as well as share their skills and expertise as ambassadors for CASA, makes it possible for our organization to provide advocacy for those who need it most in the North Country
“CASA NH’s North Country Advisory Committee is an important asset to the organization. As the sole board member of CASA NH in Coos and northern Grafton and Carroll counties, the North Country Advisory Board helps me bring the purpose and mission of CASA to the North Country,” said Benjamin Gaetjens-Oleson. “Without their assistance fewer children up here would be served by the wonderful volunteer advocates we provide.”
Thank you to the members who are serving on this important board: Dawn Cross, Benjamin Gaetjens-Oleson, Pamela LaFlamme, Michael Scala, Gretchen Taillon and Phil Waystack.
