CASA of NH’s Capital/Endowment Campaign
CASA OF NH NEWS — (Dec 09, 2009) —
CASA of New Hampshire (Court Appointed Special Advocates) recently announced that the organization has raised $1.2 million in its first-ever capital campaign designed to strengthen its capacity to advocate for New Hampshire’s abused and neglected children.
At a recent 20th anniversary celebration event, Dan Callaghan, a board member and co-chair of the $2 million campaign, announced the achievement to over 200 volunteers and supporters. In 2008 CASA accepted the generous offer to relocate its main offices to the former St. Patrick’s Church Rectory on the west side of Manchester. Windham developer John Alberico, whose wife is a CASA volunteer, purchased the building for the organization, gifting it to them over a 6 year period. The value of the building is approximately $450,000.
The campaign includes approximately $650,000 to renovate and outfit the building with an additional $50,000 needed for a fit-up and renovation to CASA’s Dover office. An additional $125,000 is being raised for a comprehensive communications, technology upgrade for CASA’s new office and 5 regional offices throughout the state. Finally, approximately $700,000 is being sought to create a permanent endowment to support operations of the organization.
