CASA Joel Jaffe Wins Max I. Silber Community Service Award

CASA OF NH NEWS — (Jul 09, 2010) — On June 25, Joel Jaffe, eleven year CASA volunteer, was awarded the Max I. Silber Community Service Award by the United Way of Greater Nashua.

The Silber award is given annually to one Greater Nashua community member who has been involved in a variety of community service roles and service agencies over many years.

As a CASA Volunteer, Jaffe has given a voice to twenty of New Hampshire’s abused and neglected children.  These children have ranged in age from 2 to 18.  Jaffe’s commitment and involvement at CASA is notable.  In eleven years Jaffe has never once hesitated to stick his head out there for his CASA children and be the only one on the “other side” in order to advocate for what is best.  Jaffe is extremely committed to his cases and has had one case for the last ten years!!  Jaffe has a wonderful ability to form great working relationships with all parties in his cases and that helps out in so many ways.

Jaffe’s commitment to CASA is only part of the reason he received the Silber Award.  He has also been involved with agencies like Harbor Homes, Keystone Hall, Welcoming Light, Milford Regional Counseling Services, Healthy at Home, and the Southern New Hampshire HIV/AIDS Task Force.  His involvement in social service agencies stretches back over the last seventeen years and includes roles like volunteer, board member and donor.

Congratulations Joel Jaffe on this incredible award and your dedication to CASA and all the volunteer work you do for New Hampshire!!
