CASA's Spectacular Inaugural Event
CASA OF NH NEWS — (Jan 21, 2009) —
A spectacular way to celebrate the Inauguration of our 44th President.
On Tuesday, Januarys 20th, 125 people joined together in the Currier Museum of Art’s Winter Garden to watch as Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States. This Inauguration Day Luncheon hosted by Kimon Zachos, Patrick Duffy, Ovide Lamontagne, and Daniel Callaghan was graciously underwritten by Citizens Bank, BAE Systems and the Diocese of Manchester.
As attendees entered the Museum they were welcomed with the extraordinary voices of Encore from The Derryfield School.
The luncheon features the large-screen live broadcast of the inauguration festivities made possible through the technological support of Comcast. Michael Chaney, president and executive director of the NH Political Library, and The Rev. Dale Kuehne, professor of political science and director of the NH Political Institute at St. Anselm College remarked on the historic nature of this inauguration.
Proceeds from the event benefited CASA. As President Obama attempts to rally our nation to commit to service in their communities, CASA of NH is so fortunate to have community partners like Citizens Bank, BAE Systems, the Diocese of Manchester, Comcast, Amoskeag Beverages and Martignietti who continue to support CASA as we advocate for NH’s abused and neglected children to grow up in safe, permanent homes.
