CASA Spends Weekend at Moose Festival

CASA staff and volunteers spent a fine summer weekend up north at the 19th annual North Country Moose Festival on August 27-29. The festival, which is sponsored by the North Country Chamber of Commerce, took place in Colebrook, NH, Canaan, VT, and Columbia, NH. Attractions at the festival included a craft fair, moose calling competition, car show, and a blessing of the autos.

Regional CASA supervisor Jerry Larson, CASA volunteer Bob Hanselman and his wife Kathy spent time during the craft fair talking to interested visitors about CASA’s mission to advocate for abused and neglected children. The festival was a great opportunity to meet North Country citizens and inform them about how they can help make the goal of safe homes for all children a reality.

Thank you to all who came and visited CASA’s booth during this fun event! Marcia Sink, President/CEO, and the CASA staff extend their special thanks to Jerry, Bob and Kathy for helping at CASA’s booth and to Affordable Housing, Education and Development (AHEAD), a housing counseling agency, and The Coalition, a community service nonprofit, for sharing booth space. You helped make CASA’s trip to moose country a success!
